Attending the Opening Ceremony were more than 1,000 freshmen and parent representatives of the valedictorians.
At the ceremony, Ass. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Vice Rector gave a touching and meaningful opening speech expressed his sincere thanks to the new students and their parents for trusting and choosing HUEdu to become the starting point for a new horizon. It is the students who will continue to spread the fire of knowledge, compassion and sense of responsibility to all corners of the world; continue the tradition of this University.
In the exciting and joyful atmosphere of the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Nhan also happily reviewed the outstanding achievemnts that the University has gained in the 2022 – 2023 academic year:
In the 2022 – 2023 academic year, 417 students of 2019 - 2023 batch graduated, of which 263 students are classified as excellent or good (accounting for 62.2%). The University also held a graduation ceremony and awarded doctoral degrees to 17 PhD students and awarded Master's degrees to 612 students.
During the past academic year, training and CPD to improve the quality of staff and lecturers has always received attention. Currently, the University has 353 staffs and employees, including 208 lecturers (with 02 Professors; 37 Associate Professors; 101 PhDs; 66 Masters; 02 Bachelors). The rate of lecturers with doctoral degrees is 67.31%, the rate of lecturers with postgraduate degrees is over 99%. It can be said that this is a proud number of Hue University of Education, affirming the University's position in the system of pedagogical universities nationwide.
In addition, scientific research and international cooperation activities are promoted. In the 2022-2023 academic year, the University has 138 papers published in international scientific journals in the Wos/Scopus category; Successfully implemented 09 national level projects; 08 ministerial-level projects; 26 projects at Hue University level. In particular, 01 student's work won second prize at Hue University's Scientific Research Student Award; 02 projects won first prize; 01 project won second prize; 03 projects won third prize; 06 projects won consolation prizes at the Thua Thien Hue Province Technical Contest; 01 lecturer received an award from the French Academy of Sciences...
The University has organized various scientific and technological events such as National Mathematical Olympiad for university and high school students; The 1st Happy Schools International Symposium: Can happiness skills be learned?; International School on Computational Commutative Algebra – COCOA 2023; The 3rd International Conference on Culture and Education – ICCE 2023. ... To recognize the outstanding achievements of freshmen and to encourage them to study and strive to learn during their time at the University, the University has commended and awarded the University Valedictorian and 22 valedictorians of all training majors.
On this occasion, the University also commended and rewarded students with the highest academic results in their majors, students who won the Olympic Prize and the First Prize of the Hue University Startup Competition.

On the morning of June 5, 2026, Hue University of Education, Hue University, solemnly held the 2026 Graduation and Degree Conferment Ceremony, awarding doctoral degrees to five PhD graduates who successfully completed their doctoral programs and master's degrees to 289 master's graduates, including one new PhD graduate from the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR).
The Graduation Ceremony celebrated the graduates' academic and research achievements, as well as their intellectual growth and resilience, while reaffirming the University's commitment to excellence in postgraduate education.
