Participants at the event included Prof. Iain Hay, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education at Monash University; Assoc. Prof. Liang Li, Project Leader; Dr. Pham Tuan Anh, Deputy Director General of the Department of Teachers and Educational Administrators, MOET; Dr. Bui Van Loi, Acting Vice President of Hue University; Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hung, M.A., Deputy Director of the Hue City DOET; along with other project members.
In his speech, Dr. Pham Tuan Anh highly appreciated the scientific value and practical significance of the project. He noted that the project would contribute to enriching both educational theory and practice, while equipping pre-service teachers with innovative teaching methods aligned with global educational trends. He also expressed confidence that, with its experience and reputation in teacher education, Hue University of Education—particularly the Faculty of Primary Education—would play a vital role in effectively implementing the project.
Representing Monash University, Prof. Iain Hay shared that the event marked an important milestone in the collaboration between the partner institutions. He expressed his expectations for fruitful outcomes and emphasized the shared responsibility of educators in fostering the development of future generations through meaningful educational initiatives.The project leader also presented the objectives and significance of the project.

The PreSET project will be implemented over five phases (from December 2025 to December 2029), aiming to enhance pre-service teachers’ understanding of pedagogical approaches through play-based activities. By introducing and applying the Conceptual Playworld approach developed by Professor Marilyn Fleer, the project is expected to bring innovative approaches to teaching and learning, fostering learners’ thinking skills, imagination, and capacity for knowledge exploration.

On the morning of June 5, 2026, Hue University of Education, Hue University, solemnly held the 2026 Graduation and Degree Conferment Ceremony, awarding doctoral degrees to five PhD graduates who successfully completed their doctoral programs and master's degrees to 289 master's graduates, including one new PhD graduate from the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR).
The Graduation Ceremony celebrated the graduates' academic and research achievements, as well as their intellectual growth and resilience, while reaffirming the University's commitment to excellence in postgraduate education.
