2026 Graduation and Degree Conferment Ceremony
On the morning of June 5, 2026, Hue University of Education, Hue University, solemnly held the 2026 Graduation and Degree Conferment Ceremony, awarding doctoral degrees to five PhD graduates who successfully completed their doctoral programs and master's degrees to 289 master's graduates, including one new PhD graduate from the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR). The Graduation Ceremony celebrated the graduates' academic and research achievements, as well as their intellectual growth and resilience, while reaffirming the University's commitment to excellence in postgraduate education.

Dr. Le Ho Son, Rector of Hue University of Education, conferred doctoral degrees upon the 2026 PhD graduates.

Participating in the Ceremony were  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Giang, Head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Relations; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Department of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs; Dr. Do Manh Hung, Deputy Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel; M.A. Hoang Minh Ngoc, Deputy Head of the Department of Inspection and Legal Affairs from Hue University. 

Representing Hue University of Education were Dr. Le Ho Son, Acting Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University; members of the Party Committee and the Executive Board; and representatives of the University's affiliated organizations, faculties, administrative offices, centers, and Thuan Hoa High School.

In his congratulatory remarks, Dr. Le Ho Son praised the new doctoral and master's graduates for successfully overcoming the challenges of their postgraduate study and research journey to achieve this remarkable milestone. He also congratulated the five master's graduates who attained the highest academic achievements in their respective disciplines and were recognized and commended by the University.

Among this year's doctoral graduates was Dr. Bounnao Pathuomma from the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR). His achievement not only marks a proud milestone for himself and his family but also symbolizes the enduring friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, while further demonstrating the University's growing reputation, standing, and regional influence in educating highly qualified human resources.

Dr. Le Ho Son emphasized that the graduates' accomplishments reflected their dedication, intellectual curiosity, creativity, perseverance, and determination throughout their academic journey.

He encouraged all graduates to continue nurturing the spirit of scholarship—having the courage to question, explore, innovate, and pursue lifelong learning. He urged them to transform knowledge into meaningful action, promote research that addresses real societal needs, and contribute practical value to humanity and society.

Graduate Representative's Remarks

Speaking on behalf of the new doctoral and master's graduates, Dr. Ton That Quoc Tan, a doctoral graduate in Algebra and Number Theory, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the University's leadership, faculty members, and staff.

He emphasized that the unwavering support of the University's Executive Board, together with the understanding, encouragement, and dedicated guidance of his academic supervisors, enabled postgraduate students to overcome numerous challenges and successfully complete their studies.

Throughout nearly 70 years of growth and development (1957–2025), Hue University of Education has remained committed to educating and developing high-quality teachers, researchers, and educational leaders for Vietnam, particularly for the Central and Central Highlands regions. Postgraduate education has consistently been one of the University's strategic priorities, contributing significantly to its academic reputation and research excellence within Vietnam's higher education system.

Currently, the University offers 10 doctoral programs and 23 master's programs. To date, it has organized 34 master's cohorts, awarding master's degrees to more than 7,000 graduates. The University has also trained nearly 200 doctoral candidates, with almost 150 successfully defending their dissertations and earning doctoral degrees.

Graduate representatives also presented flowers to express their sincere appreciation to the University for its support throughout their academic journey

The ceremony concluded in a joyful atmosphere as the new master's and doctoral graduates celebrated their achievements together with their families, friends, faculty members, and distinguished guests.

The University firmly believes that the true value of education extends beyond the transmission of knowledge. It lies in fostering the spirit of scholarship, cultivating independent thinking, inspiring creativity, and nurturing a strong sense of social responsibility in every learner.

On October 2020, Hue University of Education was proud to receive SEAMEO School’s Network certificate in recognition for the University active contribution and participation in that regional network.
