Paris Saclay University, France and University of Education, Hue University discussed on the future collaboration
In the morning of November 02, 2017, representatives from the University Boards of Rectors, Department of Physics, and Office for Science – Technology-International Cooperation had a meeting with Dr. Nguyen Thi Van Oanh, representative from Paris Saclay University, responsible for the cooperation between Paris Saclay University and universities in Vietnam.
In the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Thi Van Oanh introduced in detail about Paris Saclay University and discussed with University of Education about the future collaboration between the two Universities on students exchange, establishment linkage training programs, collaboration in research, and prepared for the formal visit of delegation from Paris Saclay University to Hue in 2018. The meeting took place in the spirit of openness, cooperation and obtained positive initial results.

The University of Paris-Saclay was established in 2015, with the aim to become a top-ranking, research-focused French federal university. In order to be recognized as an entity of sufficient size and quality, the university regroups some of the top grandes écoles in France with public universities under a single campus on the Saclay Plateau. Each member institution will remain independent but share a significant portion of existing and newly invested resources. This follows a model similar to the one adopted by University of Oxford or Cambridge, where each constituent college keeps its independence, while being grouped under a 'university'.
According to Dominique Vernay, chairman of the foundation developing Paris-Saclay, the university aims at a top-10 position in the Academic Ranking of World University (ARWU), but "the first goal is to be the top university in continental Europe".
Furthermore, the university aims to contribute to maximizing the economic and business potential of the Paris-Saclay project through research, via university and research spin-offs, as well as industrial research collaboration with established companies.
