Opening ceremony for the academic year 2018 - 2019
The students and staff of Hue University - University of Education were all excited to start the new academic year and attend the opening ceremony on September 19, 2018. The day featured a joyful atmosphere and excitement with colourful flowers and flags.
The opening ceremony warmly welcomed Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue People's Committee; Associate Professor Ph.D Nguyen Quang Linh - Director of Hue University; Dr. Do Thi Xuan Dung - Vice Director of Hue University and the leaders of Hue University; Representatives of Hue University's departments and faculties; representatives of universities and colleges in Thua Thien Hue; representatives of sponsors; Associate Professor Ph.D Le Anh Phuong - Rector and other members of the Party Committee, Board of Rectors, representatives of the School Council and leaders of faculties, institutes, centers and all staff, lecturers and students' representatives of University of Education, Hue University.
Welcoming to the new school year, on behalf of the school's leaders, Associate Professor Ph.D Le Anh Phuong - Rector congratulated new students of the course 2018 - 2022 on enrolling in the roof of Hue College of Education, the rector also emphasized: "When you come here, the most important thing is not about the past, but the future you will be looking forward to. Your achievements in the past 12 years have only created a beginning and passing your university entrance exam are not the last step, it is the beginning of a new journey. We will accompany you with responsibility and passion for the university that we have always been looking forward to finding ways to improve the quality of our training, to gain your trust in us day by day, so your future success will be the proofs for what the university has done for the whole time. Together we will overcome the difficulties and challenges. Be ready to welcome and join us to spend your youthful years meaningfully, and with your great desire, we will always support and cheer for them. However, your success still depends on yourself. So, from today, you have to act to change, to be adaptable, because "Change will not come to us if we depend on someone's help or wait for another time."
On behalf of the school's leaders, Associate Professor Ph.D Le Anh Phuong - Rector delivered his speech at the opening ceremony of University of Education, Hue University.
In the speech, the rector also sent a message to all of the students: When the Fourth Industrial Revolution has been happening strongly, the young generation is the main factor to build the Fourth Industrial Revolution's success because young people can learn and gain their experiences from technology quickly. You have to compete to survive, not only to compete with the better, faster than yourself, but also to keep up with machines and robots. With the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the state administration is being streamlined, the economy needs less workforce. If your skills are not good enough, you can be replaced by high-tech, high quality labor source from other countries even at the workplace in your country. That is why you need to have knowledge, cooperative skills, sense of responsibility and ethics. It is time for us to get rid of illusions, to look straight at ourselves to realize what we have, what we need and what we want to be." In addition, because of the stability and development of University of Education, Hue University, the Rector urges the staff and students to strongly change their thinking, promote responsible spirits, devote all sentiment, create all favorable conditions, accompany with students to complete their tasks of learning and training.

Dr. Do Thi Thanh Dung, Vice President of Hue University delivered her speech and recognized the University's efforts for 2017-2018 term. Besides, she emphasized that at this difficult time, there are still many challenges for the University so the University of Education needs to treasure what they have achieved, and continuously implement solutions to overcome difficulties and improve high quality training.

Huynh Thi Diem Hang, a valedictorian of University of Education, Hue University, made her opening speech: "Being part of University of Education, Hue University, a university which has over 60 years of construction and development is our pride. At this place we will start a new journey and open a new door; even though we know that many difficulties which are waiting ahead, we are always confident that the university in general and the lecturers, the students in particular will always be there to help us, we will resolve to overcome all challenges, grasp opportunity and complete the glorious mission that the school, the family have put their faith in. We wish to bring our best to strive for learning and training to achieve the best."
On this occasion, AssocProf.Dr. Phan Minh Tien - Former Dean of Department of Psychology - Education honored to receive Third Class Labor Award handed down by the President of Vietnam.
At the ceremony, Huynh Thi Diem Hang was congratulated with honors from Geography Department, University of Science and Technology on achieving 26.5 points and 11 valedictorians of other faculties in the university entrance examination in 2018 and 18 students who have the highest results of study and training in the academic year 2017-2018. The sponsors also awarded scholarships to the top honors students in the field.
Many great performances of the lecturers and students drew everyone's attentions and made the school opening ceremony more exciting.

Hue University of Education signed agreement with Skyline Education System (L.I.F.E Investment Joint Stock Company, Da Nang) On October 9, 2023, Hue University of Education signed a cooperation agreement with Skyline Education System (L.I.F.E Investment Joint Stock Company, Da Nang).

On October 2020, Hue University of Education was proud to receive SEAMEO School’s Network certificate in recognition for the University active contribution and participation in that regional network. University of Education, Hue University celebrates 10th anniversary of joint training program with National Institute of Applied Sciences Centre Val de Loire, France (INSA Center Val de Loire) On the morning of March 20, University of Education, Hue University, the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Val de Loire (INSA Centre Val de Loire), the Organization of Rencontres du Vietnam (‘Meeting Vietnam’) and the French Institute in Hue celebrated the 10th anniversary of the joint training program with INSA Val de Loire Engineer.

Promote cooperation with Hokkaido University of Education, Japan In the morning on October 24, a group of delegations from Hokkaido University of Education, Japan, Prof. Yoshiki Yokoyama - Deputy Director of Hokkaido University of Education, led the delegations to visit and work with University of Education, Hue University.
