Continuing teacher training

HUCE has implemented effectively the teacher training programs for the provinces in Central Vietnam, Central Highlands and some southern provinces. The programs includes improving teaching ability for university lecturers and secondary school teachers; training teachers continuingly; guiding how to innovate teaching methodology based on the new programs and textbooks, training in accordance with teachers’ occupational positions and titles and uprading occupational standards and managerial capacity of educational institutions. Up to now, HUCE has implemented training projects for nearly 90.000 participants in the country.

 Other types of teacher training

-Postgraduate training: According to the needs of a number of Departments of Education & Training, Junior Colleges, Vocational secondary schools, every year HUCE organises teaching programs and awarding certifications of postgraduate training for trainees of the regions in Central Vietnam and Central Highlands..

-Professional development programs: HUCE is responsible for pedagocical professional competence training for lecturers from universities, colleges, vocationnal secondary schoools and non-pedagogical graduates wishing to become teachers and lecturers. Training programs issued by the Ministry of Education and Training include 15 credits. Training duration lasts from two to three months. After completing the course, students will receive certificates of pedagogic professional competence in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

-Professional development programs for officials in charge of school facilities: HUCE is implementing professional training classes for officials in charge of school facilities in upper secondary, lower secondary and primary schools as assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training. The training duration is 1.5 months. Training programs are issued by the Ministry of Education and Training. After completing the course, participants will receive certificates of professional ability of using school facilities in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Training.

-Professional development programs for educational management: Fostering knowledge and management capacity in the education and training for teachers as leaders of upper secondary and lower secondary schools and planning staff for the above positions. With this form of cooperation with the Thua Thien-Hue Department of Education and Training, HUCE opened three courses with more than 200 participants over the last three years.
